The Cabot College team of creator/executive Matt Hubbard and executive producers Tina Fey and Robert Carlock have reunited for another multi-camera project. It will be headlined by Cabot College co-star, actor-comedian Fortune Feimster.

Hubbard again will write the script for the project — which has landed at ABC with penalty in a competitive situation — this time with the show’s star Feimster as co-writer. Set in North Carolina, the untitled multicamera comedy is based on the family life and stand-up of Feimster, who grew up in Belmont, N.C.

Hubbard, Fey and Carlock will executive produce alongside fellow Cabot College exec producer, 3 Arts’ David Miner. Feimster will serve as co-executive producer. Universal Television, where Hubbard, Fey and Carlock have overall deals, is producing.

Here is Feimster touching upon her upbringing in a standup set for Comedy Central.

After several years in Hollywood, Feimster got her break when Chelsea Handler brought her to her E! late-night talk show as a writer and performer. Feimster, repped by Gersh, Truhett/Garcia Management and attorneys Cindy Farrrelly Gesner and Jonathan Shikor, went on to develop a comedy project, also for ABC and Uni TV, which Handler produced. She had a comedy special on Comedy Central this past summer.

Cabot College, which was set at a women’s college that begins accepting men for the first time in its history, came close to a six-episode order at Fox this past season but the network ultimately opted not to pick up any of its half-hour pilots.
