Dolly Wells has joined the cast of the upcoming Starz comedy Blunt Talk. The character-driven series revolves around Walter Blunt (Patrick Stewart), an infrequently sober but legendary British import intent on conquering the world of American cable news. Wells will play Sarah, the head producer/writer of Walter’s show. An idealist who believes in the power of the news, she comes from a family dominated by an unruly, charismatic alcoholic father, so her taste in men is hellish and in part explains her love and adoration for Walter. Jacki Weaver also stars. Wells recently wrapped the features 45 Years and Pride And Prejudice And Zombies. Recent TV credits include Doll & Em, Some Girls and Spy. She is repped by Anonymous Content and Independent Talent in the UK.
Joel de la Fuente has been cast as a regular and Michael Rispoli as a recurring in the Amazon Studios pilot The Man In The High Castle. Based on Philip K. Dick’s Hugo Award-winning novel, the project is set in 1962 and explores an alternative reality in which Nazi Germany and Japan won World War II and occupy the United States, with the East Coast controlled by the Nazis and the West Coast owned by Japan, and a chunk of the Midwest still up for grabs. De la Fuente, repped by Gotham/Principal and Cornerstone, will play Inspector Kido. His credits include Hemlock Grove, Nurse Jackie, Law & Order: SVU and Hawaii Five-0. Rispoli plays Don Warren. His credits include Those Who Kill, Magic City, Kick-Ass, Pain & Gain and The Sopranos. He next appears in Friends And Romans. He is repped by Gersh and Gotham/Principal.
