Bob Cooper’s Landscape Entertainment is partnering with bestselling author Casey Sherman to develop a one-hour scripted drama series. Life In Shadows follows the lives of three teenagers and their mother who enter the witness protection program after their mafioso father/husband rats out the mob to the FBI and awaits trial in prison. Landscape SVP Benjamin Tappan will oversee the project for the company along with Director of Development Sandy Shenkman, who brought it in.

Sherman’s bestselling disaster-at-sea tale The Finest Hours is currently in production at Disney with Chris Pine, Casey Affleck, Ben Foster and Eric Bana attached to star. Sherman also has multiple books set up as adaptations, including Search For The Stranger, in development as an event series for For, and the upcoming Boston Strong set up as a feature with Casey Affleck attached to star and adapted by scribes Eric Johnson and Oscar-nominated Paul Tamasy (The Fighter). “We are thrilled to be in business with Casey, whose work as an investigative journalist and novelist will make this a highly sought after project,” said Tappan.

Landscape Entertainment  is currently in post production on Amazon Studios comedy pilot Down Dog directed by Brad Silberling and starring Lindsay Fonseca and Kris Kristofferson. The company also set up drama Raven Rock at NBC with Robert Zemeckis’ Compari Entertainment, Paramount TV and eOne TV where Landscape has a first look deal. Landscape also has supernatural limited series Wasteland in the works at NBC.
