After directing the pilots for the two most recent CBS TV Studios-produced CW series to go beyond the original 13-episode orders, Brad Silberling has been signed by the studio in a two-year overall deal. The last two pilot seasons, Silberling directed the CW/CBS Studios pilots Reign and Jane the Virgin. Both went to series, with Reign currently in Season 2 and freshman Jane recently given a full-season order. The pilot for Jane was among the best reviewed this fall.

Silberling, repped by UTA, Mosaic and Hansen Jacobsen, most recently helmed the half-hour Amazon pilot Down Dog. On the feature side, he previously directed City Of Angels, Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events and wrote and directed Moonlight Mile.
