Pitbull will get an ICON award as both a successful musician selling 5 million albums worldwide and as owner of his own production company, Honey I’m Home, with an overall TV and digital deal at Endemol North America.
Carl, whose full name is Shay Butler, is being honored for his SHAYTARDS channel on YouTube, his efforts to build a more cohesive community of Los Angeles-based online creators and as co-founding talent at Maker Studios, the multi-channel network recently bought by Disney.
Phan is being honored for her beauty and fashion YouTube site that now has more than 6 million subscribers and 1 billion views. Phan signed an overall deal with Endemol Beyond USA to create original digital content. She also has a makeup line with L’Oreal, and is founder and exec producer of FAWN, a women’s lifestyle network.
