Ruben Fleischer, David Bernad and former The Office writer-producer Justin Spitzer have sold single-camera half-hour comedy The Greatest Love Story Ever Told to NBC via Universal TV, where Fleischer and Spitzer are under overall deals. Fleischer is attached to direct and will exec produce with Bernad and Spitzer.
Greatest Love Story Ever Told revolves around a disparate group of employees working at a big-box store in Middle America and the love stories that ultimately will unfold among them.
Spitzer is a co-exec producer on Fox’s Mulaney. He previously received two pilot orders from NBC: The Money Pit, inspired by the 1986 feature starring Tom Hanks and Shelley Long, and Holding Patterns, from Peter Traugott’s TBD Prods, an ensemble multi-camera comedy about a group of friends whose lives change after they survive a plane crash.
Fleischer is repped by UTA and Sloan Offer; Spitzer is with UTA and Morris Yorn Barnes.
