NBC came in at No. 1 in adults 18-49, its first 52-week season win in that demo in 10 years, and is up +25% vs last season in total viewers, the network said today. The victory mirrors the primetime series rankings. NBC is running +14% ahead of its year-ago rating in the demo (2.4 up from 2.1), according to “most current” averages from Nielsen Media Research through September 14. The averages exclude NBC’s 18 nights of Winter Olympics coverage.

The network was the only one to show a gain over the 52 weeks. CBS was down 17% year-over-year in the demo (from 2.4 to 2.0), ABC was off 5% (from 2.0 to 1.9) and Fox (2.1) was even. Among total viewers, NBC is up +25% this season versus last (8.3 million vs. 6.6 million). Fox (+3%) was the only other network to show a gain (see charts below).

Looking at NBC’s averages for regular programming this season vs. last in adults 18-49, the network’s regular schedule is up on six of seven nights with the biggest gains Friday and Saturday. Mondays are up +3%, Tuesdays +4%, Fridays +23%, Saturdays up +33% and Sundays +13%. Thursdays are down 6%. Sunday Night Football is NBC’s top-rated series (8.0) in Live+7. The Voice is the No. 1 reality series (4.6) and The Blacklist the No. 1 new series (4.4).
