NBC has put in development a multi-camera comedy inspired by the book Eat, Sleep, Poop: A Common Sense Guide To Your Baby’s First Year by Beverly Hills pediatrician Dr. Scott W. Cohen, which he penned during his first year as a father.

eatsleeppoopWritten by The King Of Queens alum David Bickel, the project centers on a celebrity pediatrician who is top of the line and revered at work but is not as good practicing what he preaches with his wife and kids at home.

Bickel executive produces with Storyline Entertainment’s Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Cohen and Storyline’s VP Development and Production Mark Nicholson, who developed the project at the company, serve as consulting producers. Universal TV, where Storyline has a deal, is the studio.

Bickel, repped by Gersh, wrote comedy script Gifted at NBC last season. The project is now being redeveloped at TV Land. Zadan and Meron are currently in rehearsals on NBC’s holiday live production of Peter Pan, a follow-up to the duo’s hugely successful staging of The Sound Of Music last year.
