Amazon Studios will be dropping all 10 episodes of the second season of Garry Trudeau’s political comedy Alpha House on 'Alpha House' Season 2 Set for Oct. 24Friday, Oct. 24 on Amazon Prime Instant Video in the U.S., UK and Germany.  The series which follows a group of Republican senators who live under one roof, and stars John Goodman, Mark Consuelos, Clark Johnson and Matt Malloy, finds its protaganists at the precipice of a midterm election this season with one of them, Senator Guzman (Consuelos) prepping a 2016 bid for the presidency — a choice that puts Guzman in competition with one of his roommates. Season 2 boasts a number of prolific guest stars including Bill Murray, Penn Jillette, Matt Lauer, Rachel Maddow, Jane Pauley, George Stephanopoulos as well as a number of returning guests including Wanda Sykes, Amy Sedaris and Haley Joel Osmet. Alpha Houss is produced by Trudeau, Elliot Webb and Jonathan Alter. Last Friday, Amazon debuted its Jill Soloway dark comedy series Transparent, starring Jeffrey Tambor as a 70-year old father who comes out as a woman.
