Nicolas Cage is “The White Ghost” in Arclight Films’ Outcast, an English-language period action pic set in 12th century China that also stars Hayden Christensen and Yifei Liu (The Forbidden Kingdom). The Chinese/Canadian/French co-production was shot on location in China under stunt pro-turned-director Nick Powell (The Bourne Identity, Resident Evil: Retribution) and Deadline has an exclusive first look at the trailer.

Cage and Christensen star as ex-Crusades warriors who team up to help the children of a deposed Chinese Emperor battle their murderous uncle. James Dormer (The Holding, Strike Back) penned the script. Producers are Jeremy Bolt, Yunnan Film Group’s Alan Zhang, Mediabiz International’s Karine Martin, 22H22’s Leonard Glowinski, Ying Ye, and Gary Hamilton, and Chris Milburn, George Mizen, and Tove Christensen. Mark Canton, Jean-Francois Doray, Mike Gabrawy, Mike Nilon and Andrew Mann are exec producers. Pic was co-produced and financed by Yunnan Film Group, while Arclight Films is selling international and has multiple territory rights already locked.
