Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker’s superhero animated team The Awesomes can start putting their tights on again.  Hulu has reupped The Awesomes for a third season, debuting in 2015.  Similar to D.C. Comics’ Watchmen, but on laughing gas, The Awesomes follows the story of a legendary superhero team after its members have left.  Meyers voices the team’s leader Prock. During the course of the animated series run, Meyers and Shoemaker (who produces on Late Night With Seth Meyers) have tapped a number of their Saturday Night Live friends to provide voices on the show.  The second season, which premiered on August 4, features new characters voiced by Amy Poehler, Will Forte, Maya Rudolph and Kate McKinnon in addition to voice-over regulars Ike Barinholtz, Bill Hader, Taran Killam, Rashida Jones, Paula Pell, Josh Meyers, Kenan Thompson, Bobby Lee, Steve Higgins, Emily Spivey and Bobby Moynihan.  The Awesomes is a Hulu co-production with Broadway Video and is executive produced by Meyers, Shoemaker, Broadway Video’s Andrew Singer and Bento Box Entertainment (Bob’s Burgers).
