Rila Fukushima (Wolverine) has landed a major recurring role on the hit CW drama Arrow. She will play Tatsu Yamashiro, a character that first appeared in the Green Arrow origin series graphic novels published by DC Comics. She is a Japanese martial arts expert who wields a deadly sword, a blade from which her codename Katana is derived. In Arrow, Tatsu will be one of Oliver’s mentors in the flashbacks and a critical influence on his journey to eventually become The Arrow of present day. Fukushima, repped by Seven Summits and ICM Partners, replaces Devon Aoki, who was originally cast in the role but pulled out because of a scheduling conflict.
Riley Voelkel (The Newsroom) has been cast as one of the leads in Point Of Honor, Amazon’s Civil War family drama pilot from Carlton Cuse and Randall Wallace. It centers on best friends and brothers-in-law, Robert Sumner and John Rodes, who find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict. Voekel, repped by Innovative Artists and Luber Roklin, will play John sister Lorelei who is married to Robert. Voelkel recurred on American Horror Story: Coven as young Fiona (Jessica Lange). Also cast in the pilot is Patrick Heusinger as Colonel Palmer Kane.
