The Teamsters picketers were already mad. By the time Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi’s car pulled up to the Steel & Rye restaurant in the picturesque New England town of Milton just outside Boston, one of them ran up to her car and screamed, “We’re gonna bash that pretty face in, you fucking whore!”
“She was scared,” said a Top Chef crewmember who witnessed the incident, which occurred in June while filming an episode for the upcoming 12th season of Bravo’s popular skein, which premieres October 15. “He was screaming at her aggressively and violently.”

Angry that the show had not signed a Teamsters contract and that the production hired local PA’s to drive cast and crew vehicles, the dozen or so picketers from Boston’s Teamsters Local 25 kept at it for hours, raining down racist, sexist and homophobic threats and slurs as staffers came to and left the set that summer day. Jenn Levy, Bravo’s SVP Production, wasn’t spared. Arriving at the restaurant in her black SUV, she soon found herself running a gauntlet of vitriol. “She got out of her car in front of the location and quickly ran through the picket line,” a source said. “They were yelling, ‘You bitch! You slut! We’re gonna get you!’ It went on like that all day.”
John King, Milton’s Deputy Police Chief, said the Teamsters were “threatening, heckling and harassing.” The first officer on the scene, he said, had to call for back-up after the Teamsters “gave the officer trouble.” Reading from the police report, he said the Teamsters were “hostile, swearing, and refusing to let people come in and out. Officers repeatedly tried to de-escalate the situation.” When more police arrived, the Teamsters went to the show’s hospitality tent and “harassed the crew there.” When the officers went there, King said, “A group of them slashed the tires on 14 different cars owned by the crew.”

Numerous calls to Local 25 seeking comment on the incident were not returned, and one of the local’s organizers said he could not speak for the union. Many of those interviewed for this story called the incident the most uncomfortable and threatening labor dispute they’d ever witnessed. No one was injured and no one was arrested, but by the end of the day, more than a dozen of the show’s production vehicles had their tires slashed, and many had their antennae broken off. Several people familiar with the scene said that such bullying and thuggish behavior is what gives the Teamsters a bad name. Rowdy picketing is one thing; threatening women and slashing tires is another.
“As any employee of our show walked on or off set, the picketers verbally attacked us, calling the gays ‘fags,’ the blacks ‘niggers’ and most of the women ‘sluts and whores,’ ” the crewmember said. “It got worse as the day went on. They chased us down the sidewalk when we had to run from one end of the location to the next in the middle of our busy work day. They threatened to kill us, beat us, and said that they would find us and force us out of the city. Needless to say, we were terrified. I’m a strong person, but being called names and yelled at and harassed for 12 hours while working, I started to crumble. I was scared and worried for my safety.

“Meanwhile, the executive producers, the representatives from the network, the production management, and the line producers stood by and did nothing,” the crewmember continued. “They never addressed the problem with the staff, or apologized for putting us in such a bad situation. They never called a meeting with us, or sent the employees an email acknowledging what a terrible situation they put us all in.” The local labor board told this member there was nothing they could do. So for two more weeks, “the picketers continued to subject us to threats of violence, sexual and racist harassment,” the crew member said. “I was scared to go to work. We had to face this nightmare daily until we wrapped the show.”
Another crewmember on the scene recalled a tense confrontation as protesters tried to push their way into the restaurant during filming. Several crew members and a security guard blocked them, and someone inside hurriedly locked the doors behind them. “It was pretty scary,” he said. “They slammed our guys with their chests, screaming at them face to face — ‘Go back to LA you fucking scabs! This isn’t your fucking town! You’re taking our jobs.’ ”

The restaurant’s owners did not return calls and emails. Magical Elves, the show’s production company, declined comment and attorney Jonathan Huh sent out a company-wide email on August 14 telling staff not to talk to Deadline. “One of our staff was recently approached by an outside reporter to comment on union activity that occurred on location at a recent Elves production,” he wrote. “If you are approached by a magazine, newspaper, blog, or other press, DO NOT make any comment, even if ‘off the record,’ without the express permission of your supervisor.”
The crewmember who witnessed the Teamsters threatening and harassing Lakshmi and Levy said Bravo and Magical Elves share blame for putting the cast and crew in a dangerous situation. “Their poor handling of this situation comes as no surprise and really is a symptom of the overall dysfunction of reality-TV production,” the crewmember said. “Reality TV is cost efficient and easier to produce than scripted or more cinematic television. As a result, everyone suffers. To save money, reality TV workers are hired for lower than standard rates because the production companies and networks refuse to embrace unions or hire union workers. Along with that comes a lack of experience, professionalism and integrity. Production executives and showrunners just don’t have the experience or wherewithal to make the right decisions on how to handle issues such as the unions harassing a crew.”

Bravo declined comment, as did Lakshmi. A person from the network with knowledge of the incident said that “the police were called, and given the situation, that was the best we could do.” This person said the network “was willing to make a compromise, but in the end, the Teamsters were not willing to agree.” The Teamsters’ goal, this person said, “could have been accomplished if they did not react that way.”
Season 12 of Top Chef premieres October 15 on Bravo, but no word yet on when the Boston episode will air.

Stay classy unions!
I avoid reality TV work, even when I can use the meager pay. The crew and locations are treated like crap. Inept PAs are put in charge far too often, resulting in all kinds of mayhem. In my city, “Top Chef” “burned” several locations a few years back. In addition, curious locals who were fans of the show, were insulted by the crew, and treated like garbage. Insane.
Actions by union members are the reason why I hate and despise them and hope they lose every job they want to get. Unions, another form of dictatorship in a free society. This can not continue in this country. If you are unhappy with company terms and conditions , get another job but don’t dictate how a company runs their business !!
Said the guy with a 40 hour week, overtime, health insurance and a paid vacation.
What’s your point? That you can read minds over the internet, or recognize someone whose smart enough to get a stable job.
If you’re obliquely referencing the myth that unions are responsible for the things you listed, you should try learning some actual history instead of regurgitating union propaganda.
Keep living 100 years in the past. It’s the last time the goonions were respectable (or necessary).
Stop regurgitating the bogus right-wing propaganda.
Unions are an outmoded fraud , I have 38 yrs I. The carpenters , it’s a joke , social engineering , how many minority’s and how many lesbians can we employ no can any do the job , a 38% market share when I started in 76 to a 7% share today , Commies and radical marksist , either your a union hack or you don’t know about what you txt
Hey, do you have a good job?
Then you must support the Union bashing that whore’s face in and running everyone they don’t like out of town.
If you like having a good job, you must support Union thugs assaulting people… right?
Um… no. But good luck trying to get me to support you “bashing that whore’s face in” whenever you feel like it.
I do like my job, not enough to support violent lunatics. Maybe find someone else to be the poser boys for your ideals? Or at least quit supporting and encouraging violent lunatics.
So, can we safely assume that you (a) are a union guy and (b) approve of what the Teamsters did in this instance? If so, then you and your fellow travelers and useful idiots are nothing but thugs and crybabies. Threatening people when you don’t get what you want. Too bad. So sad. Sucks to be you, peabrain.
These Teamsters making threats should all be fired and arrested. Certainly, no one will want to be driven by someone who previously threatened you. And if the Teamsters feel that way about the people they work for, why would they want to work there anyway? Unions are great and have a necessary function, but these guys are a disgrace.
Absolutely on point. Who would want one of these thuggish goons around the set? If the slightest thing went wrong you’ve already seen how they react and their sexist, threatening behavior.
This is nothing new on Top Chef, this has happened before, both on Top Chef DC and Vegas.
Are things that occur normally every day news? This is typical union activism going on daily. The only difference beween this and most companies is this occured with a popular television production.
Wow. Not buying it. First of all, don’t go scab your hack show back East. Bad idea. And then don’t exacerbate the situation by refusing to address it and leaving your people out there. Finally, pretty low rent to try and create a climate where you’re accusing the Teamsters of some serious charges of racism and intimidation when you instigated the whole mess and now need to find a way to back out.
Take your reality show, with the low pay and bad work environment back to California where you can find the interns for it and they’ll even give you incentives.
Hey douche, this is a free country. they can scab whatever they want back east.
Yep this is a free country, and Teamsters are free to tell scabs (and customers of scabs) that they are garbage. All day. In public. Because it’s true.
Typical union goon mindset, and the reason why they are going the way of the dodo. Obviously didn’t read the whole article or else stupid enough to think what they did was legal.
Learn to read, pal…then maybe you won’t need a mob to threaten employers or bribe politicians to have job security.
Unions do have the right to cry all day about someone not paying their overpriced wages for substandard work…they do NOT have the right to threaten people, attempt to force their way into locations, slash tires, destroy antennea, or do any number of other things they did.
And defending a bunch of morons calling people misogynist, racist, and homophobic slurs?
Wow.
That doesn’t make it right, honorable, or gain approval or support.
My father was a Teamster for Local 804, and I hear plenty of disgusting stories.
This is why we have a second amendment: an armed society is a polite society.
Eff unions.
Free to tell them they’re garbage? Sure. Free to tell them they’ll bash their face in? Not so much. Free to slash their tires? Certainly not.
Yeah, but here’s the rub Jr. Apparently you know little about the constitutional right to protest and “peacefully” assemble. Note I said peacefully. You also dont have the right to threaten others. Yet this is the only tactic these thugs know. Why, because they havent educated themselves enough to lif them out of the cycle of low paying factory jobs, that suddenly they feel they need pay for driving a car equivalent to that of an educated human being.
Funny comment since most of the crew on this travelled from the left coast. Sellouts.
You can easily tell the comments made by teamsters. This is disgusting and continues to demonstrate the reason why unions are failing. They are spoiled and slacker workers. This is pathetic. SInce the Police have a Union too I guess they didn’t do anything. This is now probably being handled by the DOJ to prosecute both Teamster bullies and the do-nothing Police.
`The teamsters are just a bunch of criminals with govt backing. That’s all. If it weren’t for the local govt’s forcing companies to hire union workers they would be out of a job. Most of them are illiterate and would be unemployed or in jail. Unions did serve a very good purpose 100 years ago. But then they were taken over by lazy illiterate goons who want to mooch off others just like the people on welfare.
Right to work, Crazy 8? “Instigated” by bringing a show in? Wow. Just…wow. News flash – locals had to have been working on the show, just not Teamsters. No show brings in all their own below-the-line staff. And hey, why fight for the show if it has “low pay and bad work environment”?
There is a police report where the cops stated the teamsters where hostile and tires were slashed…
Crazy, does being that stupid come naturally, or do you have to work at it?
Hey, fuck the teamsters and IATSE.
You’re the reason productions are running away.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Face it, no one cares what unions think anymore. They are irrelevant.
You said one thing that’s very true, DON’T DO BUSINESS IN UNION COUNTRY.
Typical thug behavior. The Teamsters are nothing but a bunch of useless idiots who wouldn’t get jobs in McDonalds. The DOJ needs to go after their practices. Why should any producer be forced to use their contracts. That’s called having to pay for “protection” in gangland.
The Department of Justice is currently owned and operated by the National Democratic Party which receives ten of millions of dollars from the Teamsters Unions. That’s why the DOJ hasn’t prosecuted them since the 1950’s. Got it?
Why should any producer be intimidated into using Teamsters? Getting a union job is not a constitutional right. These guys are high school educated drivers. What they do can be done by most any person not under the influence – wait how often are these thugs tested? Screw them. Want to bring back jobs – file lawsuits against unions and their drivers for behavior that causes monetary damages to productions.
<>
Not so fast. I had a heavy-trucking company in Los Angeles where a commercial driver was occasionally found to be driving while intoxicated. He was fired for obvious reasons. But the Teamsters would then insist that he be reinstated. And the “arbitrators” were in the pocket of the unions. Almost without exception, such drivers ended up back behind the wheel in less than a year….with back pay. It was disgusting.
The feds have a union also. One employee in Atlanta got caught stealing analytical samples from a lab. He was fired. The NTEU got him his job back.
The Teamsters are single-handedly destroying unions in America. Why should any company be forced to work with you. This is some Mafia-style BS right here…
I think the Industry should tell the Teamsters where to shove it and never work with their Stone Age mentality thugs again,
why did the teamsters tell her she has a pretty face? that part is not true
Winner!
I think Padma is among the most beautiful women on TV but feel free to take cheap shots from behind your keyboard. Hopefully it makes you feel better.
Easy there, white knight.
Ok, Black Knight, it’s just a flesh wound.
Unions are so disgusting. The whole concept is disgusting. Why on earth they weren’t all arrested is beyond my comprehension. They have the right to destroy property? To threaten people’s lives? Anyone who thinks they are doing some kind of good deed in supporting a union should re-read this and rethink their vote. They even threaten children. Bastards.
I take it you don’t work in film industry.
The decimation of the unions is one of the reasons the average worker’s wage has remained the same for decades while corporate profits and CEO salaries have grown exponentially. Unions are corrupt but not nearly as corrupt as the exploitative corporations that they fought against for the average worker before they were crushed.
So what your saying is its okay for one form of corruption to trump another form of corruption. Wow, that’s surely a cure for the problem at hand.
It’s trading extreme, exploitative corporate corruption for corruption that you can at least vote against or run against. And you get paid humane wages to boot. You are correct, it is the cure.
dead on right here
And the behavior of the Teamsters here is going to raise the average worker’s wage, um, how exactly?
Actually, it would be more correct to say that
uncontrolled illegal immigration (favored by
unions, by the way) has been a bigger factor in
the stagnation of average Americans’ wages.
Any line worker who still believes that the union
is looking out for their best interests is a fool.
Well said and so true
No it isn’t genius. The reason for the decline in average pay and the overall number of jobs is our out of control government. Things like debasing the currency that we all get paid in, chasing companies offshore through high taxes and stifling regulations, and allowing in massive numbers of illegal aliens who have taken most of the new jobs created in recent years. Teamsters are part of the problem because they contribute big money to Democrats who Re the ones that have destroyed our economy through the aforementioned policies.
It’s Boston, if you have spent anytime in production anytime you hear it shoots in Boston you immediately look for a proxy specifically because of the Boston Teamsters. They are notoriously awful. You can work with Teamsters in just about any other city, including NY or LA, and they at times are tremendous at what they do. The Boston bunch hurts them so much.
What is disgusting is refusing to pay people a fair amount of the value of their labor, and putting unknowing people in danger to save a few dollars.
sounds like the only danger that was present was the union thugs.
Typical Union activity. Ignoring the NRLA, abusing the rights of others, all in the name of furthering the brotherhood of united workers for a better working condition. You think these hooligans have the ability to provide that?
I don’t for a second deny that this happened but with all these media individuals being subjected to this kind of sleazy bullying tactic why did no one record any of this and put it out there…even if they had to do it off the record? Although perhaps nothing new for the Teamsters it’s still pretty dynamite stuff.
I appreciate that even a half-way decent job in this industry is hard to find these days but racial and sexual slurs made this publicly would be easy fodder for anyone wanting to stand up for themselves and put a group of bullies in their place (that includes cowardly producers as well).
‘Go back to LA you fucking scabs! This isn’t your fucking town! You’re taking our jobs.’ So they want the production to leave, but they want the jobs… if the production wasn’t there, the jobs wouldn’t be there for them to complain about – primarily because Boston doesn’t exactly generate a tremendous amount of homegrown content. In fact, as I understand it, work in Boston is decreasing, probably in good part because the town is such a bitch to deal with. I’ve shot there and it’s a massive pain, because the town is so corrupt. Yes, it is. On the other hand, the production company should have known what they were in for (we did) and taken pains to avoid the conflict.
If you don’t know who you are dealing with and who you are supposed to be paying off, you have no business shooting there. Also, it helps if you respect union wages and working conditions. This is a foreign concept to the cheapskates at reality production companies.
By this reasoning, it is the fault of the wife that a husband batters her to within an inch of her life. And the way a woman dresses causes rape. You’re as big a Neanderthal as these Teamster thugs.
First of all, I didn’t say I supported it. I was saying it’s a fact of production there. Second, there is no reason to go on the attack with a perfect stranger. I made no personal remarks about anyone else. Why must you? Also, your analogy really doesn’t work but I like the way you feel you have to go to the domestic violence place in order to make a point.
As an impartial, I think “Jimmy’s” analogy was spot on. Your original comment justified unacceptable behavior along the lines of “she was asking for it.” I understand that you don’t like the analogy as it reveals a flaw in your own thinking, but coming back with the snappy “does not” is not very intellectually rigorous.
I thought your comment was a joke at first, then I realized it wasn’t. Wow, you’re supposed to pay off people to get work done? Haha. Thanks for making my day brighter with a laugh.
Yeah, the mob is pretty funny that way. Same with some productions I’ve heard of that shot in South Central. They would have to pay off whoever’s territory they were shooting on.
This is how its done in Mexico. Also Iraq.
They’re hiring Teamsters in Syria. Go check it out!
Having worked on a few reality shows, I can tell you that the work conditions pay and general lack of professionalism are symptomatic of the genre. It’s cheap, classless, flash in the pan entertainment for the weak minded. The way they treat the crews is an abomination. Of course it’s not going to fly to thumb your nose at the Teamsters in Boston. People on shoots have gotten disappeared over such arrogant behavior. In places like Boston, union work is how people support their families. They aren’t twenty year old interns having their rent being paid by Dad and working for “the experience.” Folks take it personally. This is their lives.
I hope these Teamster goons run into your family and treat them the same way. Then you can tell your family why you support this behavior.
Some of my close friends are Teamsters. I have family back East in unions. I am a guild member. Do, I condone these abusive tactics? Of course not. However, I also wouldn’t wish violence or abuse upon your family, whom I’ve never met, because I disagree with you.
Why do Teamsters think that anyone is OBLIGATED to use their services. I sincerely hope the Attorney General of Mass files a lawsuit against their extortion practices.
Bravo is owned by NBC/ Universal. Guess what? They are signatories to the IATSE and Teamster contracts. Hope that clears it up for you.
If you’re stupid enough to think that PAs should be driving trucks in Boston, then god help ya.
Why? Does one need a PhD to drive a truck?
You think having a recent college grad with no experience, insurance, and maturity handling the transportation of heavy gear is a good idea?
This is how Boston Teamsters have ALWAYS been – and a huge reason why production fled MA in the late 80’s despite having been established as a vibrant hub for series, mfts and features for a solid decade. Horrid production unions who bully rather than negotiate and have no interest in a healthy entertainment environment. Regardless of Elves or any Mgmt issues on this show, the Boston Unions are and have always been horrid.
Listen, I disagree just as much as the next guy of Hollywood’s cheap, exploitative labor tactics. It’s disgusting how low they pay many of their production crew, how much they drive their interns to the ground with free labor, and how disrespectful they are to the ordinary Joe in general.
HOWEVER, the unions’ response to this is worse. This is not standing your ground and fighting for your rights — this is thuggery, pure and simple. If the unions expect any type of sympathy or support from the common person, they’re in for a rude awakening. Real life does not pay you maximum benefits for minimum work. No one works in that world anymore, guys. Deal with it.
You know how I support my family? By sharpening my skills, not driving a car around expecting the world to bow down to my greatness.
This is why everyone hates unions. While the AIM to bring fairness to the workplace, their ranks are comprised of absolute rubes who say things like “We’re gonna bash that pretty face in you f#*%ing whore.” I’m going to say what is in the back of everyone’s mind who produces shows or films in the entertainment industry: union guys are low class scum bags, thugs in a Carhardt and workboots. Either do real work and have a good attitude or we’re going to look elsewhere for a dude who can drive a truck or sweep a broom.
Your generalized statements, along with many other comments in this thread are woefully ignorant, and honestly, you should be embarrassed for making such idiotic claims. I’m actually embarrassed for you. First of all, you insinuate that the despicable quote from one teamster is somehow representative of the mentality of all union crew who work in the entertainment industry? That’s absurd. To also claim that all who produce shows or films in the entertainment industry view “union guys” as “low class scum bags, thugs…” etc., is ridiculous. I am a union guy, and I even happen to wear Carhartt clothing from time to time. By the way, thats how it’s spelled, “Carhartt,” not “Carhardt, but then you knew that, being such an “Educated Mind.” Motion picture and TV union crews consist of members who work in numerous departments: Camera, Electric, Grip, Costume, Hair & M/U, Properties, Locations, Art, etc., along with Transportation, aka Teamsters. For what it’s worth, the occasional low class scum bag exists in any of those departments from time to time, but in my experience there are plenty of producers who easily fit that description as well. You can’t judge the all by the actions of a few. By the way, without the union to collectively bargain for reasonable and fair wages and working conditions, crews would be paid unfairly, and working conditions would be bad at best, and most certainly less safe. Union crews take pride in their craft and are largely responsible for the safe and professional conditions on set and the high quality work and production value that union movies and TV shows exhibit. Finally, for what it’s worth, most teamsters I’ve met and worked with are nothing like the description of the Boston teamsters in this article.
Thank you for your comment. I appreciate you commenting from the crew perspective. Now in fairness I will comment from the perspective of producers who have to deal with union tactics on a daily basis.
On the TV side, I have produced numerous game shows and studio shows. Local 40 has NO pride in their work, period. Their definition of “on time” is showing up 30 minutes late. Then when they arrive they take their sweet time outfitting all the electrical on any show and think of overtime as their “payback” to producers.
Local 80 works hard. I’ll give them that. BUT…they are the most crass group of individuals in the industry bar none. Also, while I do appreciate their work, they seem to have a real problem with authority. They’re always “heated” whenever a producer “dares” to comment on their work, or even say hello to them.
Local 399 is a joke. While I could hire a PA to drive a truck, many times depending on what lot I am on, I have to hire 399 (with GREAT regret). They move slow, they are very combative, and they relish in the fact that they get paid $80,000 to drive a truck and are not required to give a frack about the production that employs them.
In summary, I firmly STAND by my opinions of unions. They are comprised of career “stage workers” who have no aspirations whatsoever to succeed, and then proceed to hate and trash people who are successful in the industry. While I do respect their labor, I am appalled by their crass behavior on set, their outrageous demands and their overall “my way is the highway” attitude. They need to clean it up….STAT.
And no, I’m not in any way embarrassed by my comment. I was speaking straight truth as I always do.
Well we work in different genres/arenas, and I have no idea what the crews are like on game shows and the like. I can tell you that on single camera episodic shows and features, at least the ones that I have worked on, Local 80, local 728 and local 600 (grips, electricians and camera respectively for those who don’t know) are typically hard working, well educated, quite thoughtful and very caring about their respective jobs. These members of the crew ultimately work for and are hired by the DP. There are so many talented, punctual, smart, experienced and nice crew people to work with in this arena of the business that assholes are generally not tolerated for long. Any that need weeding out generally get the boot post haste. There is no long term job security to hide behind if your attitude, skills or work ethic sucks. I have no sympathy for union crew members who comport themselves in the manner you describe of the Local 40 people you have worked with. Lastly, the local 80 guys I have had the pleasure to work with couldn’t be more different from your description, other than the hard working part. My point is, generalizations shouldn’t be made about unions any more than they should about producers. There are a lot of good people in both categories and some bad ones too, unfortunately. That is all.
EDUCATED MIND….Your entire comment is typical of the entitled, greedy & arrogant, Above-the-line class that has infused the industry with labor unrest. From WHERE do you get off. You went to film school? You worked as a PA for Larry Levinson? As a producer, you fill a position that has no discernible job skills and has no required knowledge, skills or abilities required for your job. As a producer, you entrance into the business is more likely to occur by way of a personal hookup, as opposed to an invitation based on your reputation as a skilled worker? A Lamp Operator, Teamster, Generator Operator, Grip, set dresser… etc…are all required to possess a SKILLSET and/or license. That SKILLSET or license allows them to hold a place on the Industry Experience Roster. The job description for a producer couldn’t be more nebulous or arcane. My 30+ years of experience has taught me that a production can be completed with far fewer people receiving a “Producers Line” on the Call Sheet or Crew List, rather than cutting crew labor. Educate us on why you feel the need to create an US vs THEM working environment when it comes to below & above the line? Why are producers incapable of living with the basic contract that you agreed to, prior to commencing a production? Why do you choose to take the position that shows you just can’t be a man of your word, and abide by the terms of a labor agreement? I have NO DOUBT you would hire a PA to perform many duties that should be performed by a qualified UNION TRAINED crew person. Perhaps you were the UPM who told a PA to rig a wardrobe trailer with a tow plant that electrocuted a set costumer. Are you the producer who put an unlicensed PA behind the wheel of the regulated, air-brake equipped camera truck that lost it’s brakes on Kanan Rd? If you are an Educated Mind…. I wanna see the transcripts…
I LOVE THIS. YOU DESERVE ALL YOU GET. Next time do your picture in California. We are the hardest workers; and we are decent people too. Who did the scout for this show ? The producer is so greedy that he refused to see that he was putting his crew in HELL. This was no “surprise”. You guys did not research the “Rap” on these Boston guys ? GAG ME !
The tax breaks and non union labor are all the Producer saw.
We are starving here in Hollywood, Love to have ya…
Its Boston what do you expect.
Your right, nothing is new, Boston is old garbage camouflaged as new garbage. Unions and the whole Democratic party is just the Soviet Union separated by an ocean. I avoid that place like Ebola.
“two weeks” for a single Top Chef episode? Really?
Desperate, pathetic moves by unions are nothing new. Unions are on the way out, and soon you’ll be making far less than you do now. And there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. It can’t happen soon enough.
Why didn’t anyone record this behavior? If you got the Teamsters on video saying some of the stuff alleged above, it seems like it would be enough to get them to be a bit more civil. Right?
One of these kids would have recorded this on their iphone… You get the feeling that just like reality TV, this whole thing is bullshit.
F the teamsters.
And this is why Unions needs to be broken down in this country. They truly, truly suck. Teamsters is clearly the worst of them all.
