Georgina Riedel directs the pic, which he co-wrote with Jose Marquez and is being shopped. Ganem stars as Valentina Diaz on Lifetime's Devious Maids and next appears in the feature After The Wedding. Charlie Carver has joined the cast of Michael, a drama from executive producer Gus van Sant. James Franco stars in the title role as a gay activist and magazine founder who is "saved" from his homosexuality after turning to God and eventually becomes a Christian pastor. Carver will play Tyler, who gets involved in a relationship with Michael and Bennett (Zachary Quinto) and is heartbroken when Michael rejects his homosexuality. Emma Roberts also stars. Carver, whose credits include The Leftovers, Teen Wolf and Desperate Housewives, is repped by TalentWorks and Main Title Entertainment
Alicia Coppola has been cast in the EDM drama We Are Your Friends for director Max Joseph. Zac Efron stars as Cole, a young DJ who spends his nights working on one track that he hopes will set the world on fire. He meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ who takes him under his wing. Then Cole starts falling for his mentor's much younger girlfriend (Emily Ratajkowski). Coppola, whose credits include Common Law, The Nine Lives Of Chloe King and Jericho, next appears on CBS' Criminal Minds is repped by APA and Leslie Allan-Rice Management.
