Dan Shear has recently joined Universal Television as VP Comedy Development, reporting to Tracey Pakosta, EVP, Comedy Development. He will work alongside VP comedy Andy Weil. Shear is segueing to an executive career after a stint an agent. He started in the New York mailroom of the William Morris Agency in 2002. He stayed at WME as a TV lit agent following WMA’s merger with Endeavor and in 2011, he moved to the WME office in Los Angeles. He packaged scripted Universal Television logoTV series and representing writers, writer-performers, directors and producers. His clients included Loren Bouchard (Bob’s Burgers), Katie Dippold, (Parks and Recreation), Billy Eichner (Billy on the Street), W. Kamau Bell (Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell), Seth Grahame-Smith & David Katzenberg (The Hard Times Of RJ Berge), Peyton Reed (Ant-Man) and Lesley Arfin (Girls). Uni TV  has been expanding its executive team. Stacey Silverman recently joined as VP drama development.
