EXCLUSIVE: The Foundation, a project based on the BOOM! Studios comic book miniseries, has just sold to 20th Century Fox with Evan Daugherty signed to adapt. The Foundation marks the second BOOM! project set up as part of its deal at Fox. It follows Malignant Man, which has James Wan attached to direct. That project, which was set up at Fox two months ago, is a graphic novel from Wan about a cancer patient with a terminal diagnosis who is resigned to his fate until he discovers that his tumor is actually a mysterious parasite. Also in development at the studio is Rust with Carlos Saldanha attached to direct from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna. That project is based on the graphic novel Rust: Visitor In The Field which the studio acquired in 2011. In addition and Rochester is set up at Fox 2000 and is also written by McKenna.
