EXCLUSIVE: Management/production company Circle of Confusion has promoted Brad Mendelsohn to the newly created post Head of Literary. He has been with the company two years, based out of its L.A. office. The company, which produces The Walking Dead and just wrapped American Ultra, has been on an expansion kick since combining two years ago with D/F Management. In a joint statement, the partners of Circle of Confusion, David Alpert, David Engel, Frank Frattaroli and Lawrence Mattis, said “Given the breadth and depth of our literary management business, and our goal to continue to grow while maintaining the quality of our work, we believe it is time to bolster the leadership and management of the company. Brad is perfectly suited to this task. He has been an integral member of the Circle family for years and his veteran level of experience in both film and television, unimpeachable character, level headedness, and good humor, make us supremely confident in giving Brad the responsibility to lead and support Circle’s literary management division.”
Mendelsohn’s client list includes scribes Doug Jung (Dark Blue), Tim Schlattmann (Dexter), Bryan Sipe (Demolition), Chris Barbour (CSI), Todd Harthan (Psych), Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Vampire Diaries), Lesley Arfin (Girls), Jeff Vlaming (Hannibal) and novelist/screenwriters Shane Kuhn (The Interns Handbook) and Taylor Reid (Forever, Interrupted). Director clients include Troy Miller (Arrested Development), Gregory Plotkin (Paranormal Activity 5), Roel Reine (Dead in Tombstone) and Ben Ketai (Beneath). Mendelsohn came to Circle Of Confusion from Endeavor and Industry Entertainment.
