Rocky bowed out after its disappointing run, and the Broadway box office was off about 3% to $25.2M from the previous week’s $25.9M Even an extra performance added to the usual eight for The Book Of Mormon and Wicked didn’t help much, according to figures released by the trade group Broadway League.

Disney’s The Lion King, at the 1,700-seat Minskoff, dropped $86,832 from the week before but still had a week-leading take of $2.2M. Mormon‘s extra perf added $112,325 to the gross at the 1,066-seat Eugene O’Neill, totaling $1.8M and, as usual, registering the highest per-ticket average outlay of $178.69.

If/Then Richard Rodgers TheatreDisney’s Aladdin took a $104,809 hit at the 1,723-seat New Amsterdam, grossing $1.5M (still bettering its gross potential by 7%). The Idina Menzel starrer If/Then continues to weaken, posting a dropoff for six of the past seven weeks and, with a tally of $717,723, now at  just under 56% of gross potential at the Richard Rodgers.
