Writers Hunter Covington (It’s Always Sunny, My Name Is Earl) and Stacy Traub (Glee, Notes From The Underbelly), who are a married couple, have come on board ABC’s multi-camera romantic comedy starring actress-rapper Eve, from Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment and ABC Studios. Covington will write, with Traub supervising, the project, which ABC bought as a concept in January for this coming development cycle. The comedy, inspired by Eve’s real life, centers on a successful woman (Eve) who finds her life turned upside-down when she falls in love with a man who is less successful and has three kids. Eve (full name Eve Jeffers) recently married successful entrepreneur and race car driver Maximillion Cooper, who shares four children with an ex-wife. Covington and Traub will executive produce with Eve and Kaplan. The two writers, repped by UTA, previously paired on another ABC instant-family comedy, Other People’s Kids, which went to pilot in 2011. Also written by Covington, with Traub supervising, the project was about a 32-year-old guy with no responsibilities who suddenly falls in love with an older woman who has two children.
