EXCLUSIVE: Neophyte shingle Imperative Entertainment has won a competitive bidding for Zach Dean’s World War II drama pitch Atlantic Wall, which Imperative will team with Madhouse Entertainment on to produce. Logline tracks a lone American paratrooper who is stranded behind enemy lines hours before D-Day, tasked with delivering intelligence critical to the outcome of the war and compelled to fulfill a promise to protect the young son of a murdered ally. Imperative’s Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas are producing along with Madhouse’s Adam Kolbrenner, while Imperative’s Zak Kadison and Madhouse’s Robyn Meisinger will exec produce.

Dean previously penned 2012 crime drama Deadfall starring Eric Bana, Olivia Wilde, and Charlie Hunnam, produced by Madhouse Entertainment with Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban. He landed on the 2013 Black List with his biker gang project Beast, which is being produced by Madhouse’s Kolbrenner and also landed him a blind deal with Warner Bros. Dean’s also sold pitch The Lightkeeper to Working Title Films with Stephen Gaghan attached to direct, and sold action-thriller spec script Layover to Endgame Entertainment. Imperative is the production co. formed in March by Thomas, Friedkin, Kadison, and Tim Kring which last month acquired bestselling E. Lockhart book We Were Liars.
