UPDATE, 10:52 AM: Frank Mazzola was found this morning in LA after being missing more than four days and is now being transferred to a local hospital. His wife Catherine Hader confirmed the news just now.
PREVIOUS, MONDAY AM: Frank Mazzola, whose film-editing credits include Demon Seed and Peter Fonda’s The Hired Hand and who played Crunch in Rebel Without a Cause, has been missing since around 10 PM Friday. He disappeared after being dropped off at his home in the 8700 block of Shoreham Dr. in West Hollywood. The 79-year-old Mazzola suffers from Alzheimer’s. “He will respond to his name,” said his wife of 19 years, Catherine Hader, who has been searching for him with police since the weekend.
Mazzola also produced the director’s cut of Wild Side with Christopher Walken and Joan Chen. He has lived in Los Angeles his entire life and has been in the film and TV business for more than 60 years.
Mazzola was last seen wearing a blue New England Patriots jacket, black shirt and blue jeans. He is slender, about 5-foot 6-inches tall, and balding.
