After guest-starring in the pilot, Craig Frank (Mixology) has been promoted to a series regular in CW’s thriller The Messengers, from writer/co-exec producer Eoghan O’Donnell and exec producer Basil Iwanyk. In it, when a mysterious object crashes down to earth, a group of seemingly unconnected strangers die from the energy pulse, but then awaken to learn that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending Apocalypse. Frank, repped by Industry Entertainment and Innovative Artists, will play Alan, a likable techie who works with Vera (Shantel VanSanten) at the NDSA – National Deep Space Agency.
Max Jenkins (High Maintenance, 30 Rock, Fort Tilden) has joined the cast of NBC’s drama The Mysteries Of Laura after guest-starring in the pilot. Written by Jeff Rake and directed by McG, The Mysteries Of Laura follows the life and relationships of Laura Diamond (Debra Messing), a female homicide detective who can handle murderous criminals but not her hell-raising twin children. Jenkins, repped by Stewart Talent and The Katz Company, plays Max Carnegie, the precinct office assistant in Laura’s (Messing) police station.
