Ripa and Michael Strahan traveled to Washington to sit down with Obama at the White House. Strahan also asked POTUS, during the pre-taped interview, about the VA hospital controversy, saying, “There’s been calls for the resignations, and [VA Secretary Eric] Shinseki says he’s not going to resign. Do you think that he should, and if he doesn’t, would you be inclined to remove him?” The question was rendered out-of-date this morning when Obama held a live news conference to announce he had accepted Shinseki’s resignation.
