Coming off of a great run opening Lone Survivor, Non-Stop, Ride Along, and most recently, Neighbors, Universal Pictures has given Josh Goldstine a loftier title and a new, long-term contract. Goldstine was named President of Worldwide Marketing Thursday. He will continue to report to Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley, who expanded her responsibilities over international production and worldwide marketing this past January.
They are announcing this promotion ahead of the weekend opening of Seth MacFarlane‘s comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West, which is expected to open somewhere in the mid-$20Ms. It also comes as Universal just promoted Fabian Casto to Senior VP and extended the contract of VP Talitha Watkins in the multi-cultural division last week. They report to Goldstine.
