idwIDW Entertainment, the recently launched division of comic book publisher IDW, has entered a partnership with Entertainment One Television to co-develop, co-fund and eoneco-produce television series based on IDW’s library of more than 300 original properties. eOne and IDW will fully fund development of each project with the intent of securing direct-to-series commitments from broadcast and cable networks.

IDW Publishing CEO Ted Adams and Ozer will serve as executive producers on the projects, as will eOne CEO John Morayniss and Benedict Carver, eOne’s SVP Filmed Entertainment, who will oversee the deal on behalf of eOne. Circle of Confusion (The Walking Dead), which oversees packaging and creative development for IDW Entertainment, will lead the creative development and production under the deal with eOne, with the company’s Rick Jacobs and David Alpert serving as executive producers. IDW Entertainment and eOne will jointly represent the U.S. network sales, and eOne will be responsible for the international distribution of programming.
