leeds__140321140721-150x150halford__140321140744-150x150Cristela, in her sixth year of law school and living rent-free with her older, thinner, prettier, more traditional sister Daniela (Ortega) and brother-in-law Felix (Ponce), lands a prestigious law firm internship as her old world, outspoken, good-hearted mother Natalia (Hoyos) hectors her about getting a real job, her brother-in-law encourages her to move out and her sister runs low on patience. Leeds, repped by TalentWorks and Evolution, plays Josh, Cristela’s whip-smart fellow intern and confidant at the law firm who has been coddled by his parents his whole life and can’t help but admire Cristela’s outlook and resilience. Halford, repped by Kohner, Gartner/Green and Mitch Smelkinson, will play Maddie, a twentysomething blonde who’s a bit naive, spoiled but sweet and not the smartest applicant for the internship — but who got the gig because she’s the boss’ daughter. Ponce is repped by SDB Partners and Alan Mills at Marshak/Zachary.
