Fox Business Network‘s Maria Bartiromo will anchor a Fox News Channel program, Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo, launching Sunday, March 30 at 10 AM ET. The new show will focus on the intersection of commerce and news events, offering viewers in-depth analysis on recent developments in the economy. Bartiromo will interview business leaders and industry newsmakers on topics such as job creation and investment opportunities, providing viewers with an inside look at how to prepare financially for the future.
Bartiromo will continue as Fox Business Network’s global markets editor and anchor of Opening Bell With Maria Bartiromo. Last November, Bartiromo, whose contract with CNBC expired that month, announced she was jumping to FBN, reuniting her with Roger Ailes, who was running CNBC when she joined; she’d been on-air with CNBC since 1993, anchoring Closing Bell and hosted On The Money With Maria Bartiromo. Before that, she did a stint as a producer, writer, and assignment editor at CNN. In 1995 she became the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on a daily basis. Bartiromo has a side career playing herself on the big screen, appearing in features Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Inside Job and Arbitrage among others.
