Horror vet Joe Dante (Gremlins), Xavier Gens (Hitman), and Timo Vuorensola (Iron Sky) have come aboard Paris-set horror anthology Fear Paris, from producers including Paranormal Activity/Insidious‘ Steven Schneider. Two additional directors will join the trio in the project which begins production this summer or fall. Pic weaves together interconnected stories set in the City of Lights spanning fantasy, horror, and science fiction genres. This teaser sets the tone, particularly if you suffer from an (ir)rational fear of mimes:
Untitled Entertainment’s Laura Rister, Bleiberg Entertainment’s Ehud Bleiberg, and Instinctive Film’s Darryn Welch will produce with Schneider. The project has also tapped Pixomondo and Prime Focus as VFX partners with production designer Tony Noble (Moon), special effects makeup/prosthetics designer Kristyan Mallet (Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter), and concept designer Richard Raaphorst (Frankenstein’s Army) aboard. Dante is repped by Gersh and Echo Lake Management. Gens is repped by Paradigm and Anonymous Content. Vuorensola is repped by WME and Industry Entertainment. WME Global and Rister are handling North American rights.
