Warner Bros said today that it is moving its Point Break remake from the heart of summer to Christmas Day. It will have plenty of competition on the holiday, going up against Fox’s kids sequel Alvin And The Chipmunks 4 and drama Joy, the Will Smith drama Concussion and Paramount’s live-action/CGI hybrid Monster Trucks. Edgar Ramirez and Luke Bracey star in the reboot of the 1991 Patrick Swayze-Keanu Reeves flick, which had been set for July 31.

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is now fight night. The studio also said today that it will release MGM’Rocky franchise spinoff Creed on November 25. The film starring Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone and Tessa Thompson will put up its dukes against a quartet of challengers: Pixar toon The Good Dinosaur, Fox drama The Martian, Warner Bros sci-fi chase pic Midnight Special and Sony’s untitled Christmas comedy starring Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
