Raini Rodriguez is in negotiations to reprise her role as Maya. Eduardo Verastegui (Bella) will play a Vegas hotelier whose hotel becomes a heist target. Nicholas Turturro (I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry) has been cast as one of Blart’s security guard rivals. And James’ brother, comedian Gary Valentine (The King of Queens), is set to play a sympathetic fellow security guard. James, Henrie, and Verastegui also co-star together in the upcoming WWII dramedy Little Boy. Andy Fickman is directing Mall Cop 2 from a script by James and Nick Bakay, who wrote the first pic.
