Alex Graves is set to direct TNT‘s pilot Proof, a supernatural medical drama executive produced by Kyra Sedgwick. Written by Rob Bragin, Proof centers on a skeptical, hard science, female surgeon who’s struggled with family issues including a tragic death. She is persuaded to investigate cases of reincarnation, out-of-body experiences, hauntings — all of it looking for verifiable proof, to try to answer one of life’s greatest questions: Is death truly the end, or is there something … beyond?. Bragin and Sedgwick exec produce with Jill Littman and Tom Jacobson. CAA-repped Graves has extensive supernatural drama background and has directed the pilots for such series as Fringe and 666 Park Ave.
Gary Fleder will direct CW drama pilot Identity, exec produced by Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci. Written by Corinne Brinkerhoff, it centers on a young woman in need of a transplant who learns she is related to a powerful family whose son is her only hope for a donor organ. The CIA approaches her to investigate the family’s involvement in domestic terrorism and to infiltrate their rarefied world, which tests her loyalty, morality and ethics. Brinkerhoff is exec producing with K.O. Paper Products’ Kurtzman, Orci and Heather Kadin and Scripted World’s Rob Golenberg and Alon Aranya for CBS Studios. WME-repped Fleder has a history at the CW where he directed the pilots for Beauty And The Beast and the upcoming Star-Crossed the last two seasons.
