Deadline Advisory: Oscar Nom Ballots Due Today

Oscar100__120725193608__120830210159__130208010240Reminder to Academy members that nominations voting for the 86th Oscars closes today at 5 PM PT. Votes are being tabulated and verified by PricewaterhouseCoopers, and noms will be announced January 16 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater.  If you are not voting online and instead chose the old-fashioned paper ballot, your only alternative is to have it delivered in person to the Los Angeles PwC offices at 350 S. Grand downtown by the deadline. The Academy Awards are set for March 2 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland live on ABC.

To quote one of the world’s great thinkers in the history of the world, regarding the Best Actress category, that would be “Hollywood Squares” host Peter Marshall : “it’s the rubber game of the match…you’re going for Amy Adams for the block and Cate Blanchett for the win? Or is it the other way around?” Could be one of those stalemate matches too and Emma Thompson comes up the winner. Acting in family pictures is often not taken seriously.

  2. i’ll say this much…william endeavor lucked into this turning up for E.T….and she knocked it out of the park…it seems like they’ve had her in disney suspended animation since a long fucking time ago…….
