The film premiered at Venice and later screened as a special presentation at Toronto. Spotlight Pictures has taken international rights to director-star James Franco‘s Child Of God, an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s novel about an outsider-turned-serial killer (Scott Haze) in 1960s Tennessee. Jim Parrack and Tim Blake Nelson also star. Franco co-wrote the screenplay with his RabbitBandini Productions partner Vince Jolivette. Spotlight also took international rights to RabbitBandini’s Tar (2012) and Sal (2011).
