Fox has put in development Massholes, an animated comedy written/executive produced by Seinfeld alum Spike Feresten and produced by 20th TV. It follows the adventures of Kevin Dunlevy, a smart nerdy tween trying to survive in a small Massachusetts town full of tough guys and half-wits. CAA-repped Feresten also has multi-camera comedy Wife Nanny at Fox with Jason Bateman, Peter Morgan, and Jim Garavente.

On the live-action side, Fox has bought a half-hour from writers Lauren Blum and Rebecca Dana, Sony TV and Jamie Tarses’ studio-based Fanfare. Based on Dana’s memoir, “Jujitsu Rabbi and the Godless Blonde,” which was published in January, the show is an odd-couple story. Blum and Dana, who met at the Wall Street Journal while they worked there as entertainment reporters, are repped by RWSG and Ryan Nord.

Lauren was a class act at the WSJ -- and clearly already making her way in television....
