Fasten your seatbelts – it’s Significant Local Market NFL Preemptions Time, when Fast National numbers for broadcast networks can be vastly inflated due to local coverage of NFL preseason football, impacting ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. That said, CBS’s Big Bang Theory rerun (1.8 demo rating, 7.3 million viewers) mopped up at 8 PM. But ABC’s Wipeout (1.6 rating) looks like it jumped 78% from last week, and NBC’s America’s Got Talent (1.0, 4.1 million viewers) clocked the net’s best results in the slot since its July 4th fireworks bash six weeks back (see Fasten Your Seatbelts, above).
At 8:30 PM, ABC’s Wipeout (1.7) edged out CBS’s Two And A Half Men rerun in the demo, though not in viewers (5.3 million, 6.5 million, respectively).
CBS’s Big Brother (2.3, 6.9 million) topped its only real competition, ABC’s Motive (1.3, 5.9 million) at 9 PM, though Motive spiked 86% week-to-week (see Fasten, above).
At 10, however, ABC’s Rookie Blue (1.4, 5.8 million) bounced 56% to top CBS’s Elementary rerun (1.0, 4.6 million) and NBC’s Hollywood Game Night (1.3, 3.9 million), which was up 18% and enjoyed a three-week high. HGN is currently No. 1 or tied for No. 1 among broadcasters in adults, men and women 18-34 and men 18-49. It followed reruns of America’s Got Talent (1.0), and Hollywood Game Night (1.2).
CBS took the night with a 1.7 demo rating and 6.1 million viewers, followed by ABC’s 1.4 rating and 5.6 million viewers, NBC’s 1.2 and 3.89 million and CW’s 0.4 and 987,000. Until the NFL games are weeded out. Stay tuned…..
