EXCLUSIVE: Sibling writing team Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux, who work on Bob’s Burgers, have inked a two-year overall deal with the studio behind the Fox animated comedy, 20th Century Fox TV, to develop and produce new projects. The Molyneuxs have been on Bob’s Burgers since the beginning. The series, which is nominated for a best animated program Emmy, will be entering its fourth season this fall. “Liz and Wendy are funny, brash, big voices who we immediately responded to and wanted to develop with,” said Jonathan Davis, 20th TV EVP Comedy and Animation.“We’re the studio which made it our mission to be in business with talents like Liz Meriwether and Nahnatchka Khan, and we think Wendy and Liz have a similar ability to write funny, raunchy material that is entirely relatable and accessible to a big, broad audience. Their work on Bob’s Burgers’ has been extraordinary, and we can’t wait to see what they can do in the live-action space.” Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux dipped their toe in development this past season with the ABC pilot presentation See You Next Tuesday, which was produced by 20th TV. Before joining Bob’s Burgers, the two wrote The Day I Turned Uncool for Paramount as well as the Black List script My Sister Is Marrying a Douchebag. They are with WME, Kaplan/Perrone and Morris Yorn.
