Primetime television had it all last night with drama, reality and even a premiere – almost made summer feel like fall. Three weeks into its debut run, CBS’s Under The Dome (2.7/7) slipped a bit last night. While the top rated and most watched (10.57 million) show of Monday night, the series from Steven Spielberg and Stephen King was down 7% from its second show on July 1. Other than Under The Dome, CBS aired all encores last night. CBS won the night in total viewers with 6.527 million watching and tied the night with ABC among adults 18-49 with both networks receiving a 1.7/5.
Over on ABC, The Bachelorette (1.9/6) bopped up 6% from last week and hit a season high among viewers with 6.81 million watching. The two-hour reality series was the second highest rated and second most watched show of the night. The Bachelorette was followed by the freshman drama Mistresses (1.2/3), which rose 9% from its July 1 show.
Head-to-head with Under The Dome for the second week in a row, NBC’s faux reality show drama Siberia (1.0/3) got another ratings chill last night. Debuting weak on July 1, Siberia slipped 9% among adults 18-49 from its premiere. Before some fake reality, NBC premiered a new unscripted show with Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls (1.4/4). While the highest rated reality debut this summer, Get Out Alive was still down 18% from the 1.7/5 that Stars Earn Stripes earned in its debut on August 13, 2012. The network’s other reality effort had a low return last week from its previous season debut but last night’s one-hour American Ninja Warrior (1.6/5) pretty much stayed steady with a 6% dip from it’s two-hour July 1 broadcast.
Fox and the CW were all repeats on Monday.
