“PowerwomenTV was created to fill the gap in traditional women’s programming,” says network founder and CEO, Amy Palmer. “Our content focuses on a women’s 360 approach to life — from business to style, from money to parenting. Women aren’t one dimensional and their media shouldn’t be either.”
With a decade of experience as a television journalist and producer, Palmer decided it was time to embark on her entrepreneurial aspirations. For three years, she used personal savings to self-fund PowerwomenTV until she was able to secure an investor to help launch the network full-scale. Today, PowerwomenTV is the first of its kind to offer highly produced television-quality content in the digital space.
PowerwomenTV is the network for the next generation of women — innovators who strive to “have it all” and are looking for the tools to optimize the various facets of their lives.
The regularly scheduled programming roster — which will be shared and streamed along the outlet’s social media channels — includes the following shows among its eight original productions:
Treadmill Talk: Jenny Hutt — former host of longtime Martha Stewart Living show, “Whatever with Alexis and Jennifer,” and of Sirius XM radio’s “Just Jenny” — talks to celebrities and tastemakers at NYC hotspots, landmarks, shops and more while walking on treadmills.
Suburban Survival Guide: Today Show contributor and style expert Jenn Falik goes from city chic to rural know-how on this inside look at life in suburbia.
