The pre-tapes are over and it’s all live, live, live this week. Monday was the first night of the live playoff round on The Voice (3.9/11), which was the night’s highest-rated show. But it dipped 9% from last week’s season-low tie to hit a new season low. Spread out over three nights this week and four contestants from each of the four coaches teams’ performing, this round will end with two singers per team moving forward. As judge Usher said Monday, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” To that end, last night’s two-hour episode started as Team Adam and Team Usher took tp the stage. It also saw Usher and Adam Levine perform Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.” Afterward, lead-out freshman drama Revolution (2.1/6) rose 17% from its season-low tie April 29 show. However, coming off a live show, those numbers could see adjustment in the final ratings. NBC won the night in adults 18-49, while ABC was No. 1 in total viewers with 12.22 million.
Speaking of ABC, over on Monday’s other live reality show, it was threesome night on Dancing With The Stars (1.9/5). The most-watched show of the night (12.92 million viewers) saw some choice words from judge Len Goodman, a perfect score for the salsa of Disney TV star Zendaya, and six celebs left as Season 16 hustles toward its May 21 end. Like its rival on NBC, Monday’s DWTS was down from last week to a new low. The show slid 10% from the all-time performance-show low April 29. Following that, Castle (2.0/5) was even with last week.
How I Met Your Mother (2.6/8) started things off on CBS. The comedy slipped 4% from its April 29 show season-low tie to also hit a new low. Rules Of Engagement (2.1/6) and 2 Broke Girls (2.6/7) were even with last week. Mike & Molly (2.2/6) tumbled 8% from its April 29 show to tie a series low. Out of having to face The Voice and DWTS head-to-head, the 10 PM Hawaii Five-O (1.9/5) saw the only rise for CBS, up 12% from last week’s series low.
The CW’s Oh Sit! (0.3/1) and 90210 (0.3/1) were even with last week’s shows. With Bones and The Following having had their season finales last week, Fox aired a Rihanna 777 (0.8/2) special followed by a Bones (0.6/2) encore.
