The Exchange has closed a low-to-mid six-figure deal for Camden, a spec penned by Lucas Carter and repped by Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment. Camden tells the love story between the Nation’s First Daughter and a young Secret Service agent posing as a student to protect her. When a rogue military group storms their isolated college campus and takes everyone hostage, the agent must rescue her and stop an even larger hidden plan. In doing so, he must reveal his true identity and risk losing the love of his life in order to save her. The film will be a co-production between The Exchange and Intrigue Entertainment and will be financed by Exchange Peaks Film Capital, its film fund with Grand Peaks Entertainment. The Exchange’s Laura Ivey will produce with Intrigue’s Tariq Jalil. Carter and Alex Vinnitski of The Exchange will co-produce. Brian O’Shea of The Exchange and Alan Simpson of Grand Peaks will executive produce.
Exchange Peaks is in production on the thriller Swelter starring Lennie James, Alfred Molina, Catalina Sandino, Josh Henderson and Jean-Claude Van Damme and has the upcoming Richard LaGravenese’s The Last 5 Years starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.
