EXCLUSIVE: Allison Williams, HBO Girls co-star and daughter of NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, is in talks to play the title role in Rosaline, the Shawn Levy-produced feature based on Shakespeare that is mobilizing at 20th Century Fox. I’ve heard Williams is also on the short list for the Fantastic Four reboot, which is in the very early talking stage. Maybe not too long until Brian Williams is known as Allison’s dad. She’s repped by Paradigm. Rosaline is based on the Rebecca Serle book When You Were Mine.

She’s not that pretty at all. For a regular girl? Sure. For an actress? I’m not so sure. She is maybe the least talented actor in the business, slightly ahead or behind Cody Horn.

She did an arc on The Mindy Project. She was solid enough on that, although I think she’s fine on Girls too.

Rosaline is an AWESOME script! Too bad Allison CAN”T act!! She’s terrible on the show! Every now and then I’m like “she wasn’t bad in that scene. She was almost ok there.” She struggles on that show with way easier mateial than Rosaline. WOW being pretty really pays off.

Oh this script is so fantastic!!!! It would be a star making role ….but Allison is so beautiful I don’t find her very sympathetic. (And I don’t think she has a very period look-especially since she’s so thin now)

I’m not sure I understand all this bad actress talk. Sure she’s beautiful, no doubt that has helped her get a foot in the door in Hollywood, not to mention her showbiz family; but she’s also very intelligent and from what I’ve seen of her on Girls, a fine actress with a good sense of humor to boot. Remind me again why her rise to stardom spells doom again? Tired of the negative folk who parade their opinions as “genuine” and “untainted by ego” and various other nonsense under the guise of jealousy and unfulfillment in their own pursuits. By the way, I’ve only seen very little of Girls and I am not in the business so I have no stake in her success, other than the obvious future enjoyment of her films.

I think Allison Williams in the Fantastic Four would be a huge Jessica Alba-sized mistake. Alice Eve is a better choice for Susan Storm.

Our standards of beauty are usually criticized as too high and unrealistic actually.
I would love to see what the people bashing her looks here look like. Chances are good that they fall into the average to unattractive range.
Most of the drivers thinks they are better than average driver. Obviously it can’t be so. May be they overestimate they own attractiveness as well ?
