EXCLUSIVE: Vinnie Jones is attached to play a retired hit man and widower whose young son is kidnapped in The Killer’s List, a thriller to be produced and directed by Phil Avalon. Los Angeles-based Rexmedia is handling worldwide sales rights excluding Australia/New Zealand on the film, which is due to shoot in Brisbane and the Gold Coast in July. Scripted by Brian Vining, the plot follows the guy (Jones) as the kidnapper sends him a cardboard box containing his son’s fingers, a mobile phone and instructions to eliminate five of his former criminal associates. Silver Arrow Entertainment’s Vining and Evert McQueen are co-producers. Jones also is part of the ensemble cast of The 34th Battalion, the $20 million saga of an Australian Army unit that fought heroic battles against the Germans during WWI, which is scheduled to shoot in New South Wales later this year.
