  1. God, these are ridiculous. Awards for visibility? Recognizing an outstanding achievement, okay, fine, have a luncheon, but awards with categories and nominees? How do you determine who is best? The gayest one?

    1. Please replace the phrase ‘gayest ones’ with ‘blackest ones’ ‘most latino ones’ when the NAACP Image Awards are announced or the ALMA’s and see the response you get.

  2. I guess no one in GLAAD reads a book. They stop at newspaper articles and that seems to be as much as they can handle.

Good God, local L.A. theater is considered media but not novels or nonfiction? Would that be too much effort…take more than two hours to actually get through?

  3. This is pure and blatant discrimination, and should be an embarrassment to the so-called “winners”.

Thanks for posting a list of programs I should avoid.

  4. “outstanding images” are you kidding me? i’m so over the ryan murphyization of gay people where the rest of the world has to be taught how ‘normal’ and great we are. we’ve lost our edge, our outsider status. F**K assimilation. some of us don’t want 2.5 kids and a house in the ‘burbs. you don’t deserve an award for tolerating me.

    1. Sexual citizenship entails both rights and responsibilities. Some gay people want the right to be assimilated, others want to remain on the periphery. Whatever you choose, you have a right to pursue your dream and happiness,

  5. What about best Web Series like Venice & The Grove with Crystal Chappel or Between Women which is a Webseries about African American Lesbians.
