EXCLUSIVE: Eion Bailey (ER) has been cast as the male lead opposite Mira Sorvino in TNT‘s drama pilot Trooper produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Trooper centers on KJ Flaxton (Sorvino) a recently divorced female state trooper who is as unconventional at work as she is at home raising her three kids. Her partner on the job is James Burk (Bailey), a widowed father who has a much more by-the-book approach to policing. Bailey, repped by Gersh and the Susan Smith Co., recurs as August Booth/Pinocchio on ABC’s Once Upon A Time. He also recently recurred on USA’s Covert Affairs.

Liza Lapira (Don’t Trust The B—-) has been cast as a lead opposite Rebel Wilson on Wilson’s ABC comedy pilot Super Fun Night.  The project, executive produced by Conan O’Brien, was originally developed as a multi-camera sitcom for CBS last season. After it didn’t make the cut, it was picked up by ABC as a single-camera comedy. Written by and starring Bridesmaids standout Wilson, Super Fun Night follows three nerdy female friends: Kimmie (Wilson), Helen-Alice (Lapira) and Marika on their “funcomfortable” quest to have “super fun” every Friday night. Helen-Alice is Kimmie’s super-smart best friend and roommate. The role was played by Jenny Slate in the original pilot. For Lapira, the casting stems from a talent deal she inked with ABC in July. She was a regular on the first season of Don’t Trust The B—- and continues to recur this season. Her series credits also include Fox’s Traffic Light and Dollhouse and CBS’ NCIS.
