One of the most well known liberals in Hollywood, Jake Gyllenhaal, is a hot retweet today in what seems to be a huge change of political partisanship. In fact, it’s yet another fake celebrity Twitter account:
Jake Gyllenhaal does not have a Twitter account, his reps tell Deadline. Given that Mitt Romney is having a tough time attracting with young voters, accusations may fly that this is some Republican conspiracy at work. Let’s see if other well known Hollywood progressives start making 180-degree turns to the GOP. Recently actresses Lindsay Lohan and Stacy Dash came out for Romney/Ryan – and that was real.

Darn – for a second there, I thought a brain was born in Hollywood. Oh well. It was fun to dream for a couple minutes anyway.
What are you talking about? Any true U.S. patriot with even half a brain cell would never consider wasting their vote on Romney, a man who has offshored his money, his tax liabilities and his employees, and now wants to be president of . . . these United States. Please.
As a foreigner, I don’t really care who wins your election, but this attitude of yours makes me ill. You Americans are so wrapped up in your hate of the other side it’s like a cancer that’s killing you, and you don’t even realize it. I’m so glad I don’t live in the US because this attitude is only getting worse and it’s going to be your downfall.
Good one!
“Republican conspiracy at work”? Are you kidding? The GOP has no interest in Hollywood libs endorsing Romney because nobody really cares what actors think or believe – more than anyone else.
No doubt it is a Democrat plan to ‘reveal’ fake twitters endorsing Romney. That’s all they have left.
I’m a Republican and I think you’re delusional. Our society, right and left, is obsessed with celebrity. It’s just a fact. It’s an unfortunate fact, but it’s a fact.
Also, if you think the Democrats are on their last legs, I think you’re in for an unpleasant surprise. It’s going to be a pretty tight race. We have BS artists on both sides of the aisle.
“because nobody really cares what actors think or believe”
How about Clint Eastwood?
“because nobody really cares what actors think or believe”
You’re right, no one cares about what Ronald Reagan thought or believed.
If no one cared TMZ, People magazine, and the other hundred plus websites/publications would not exist.
Bet you weren’t thinking that an hour before Clint Eastwood emptied his depends on stage at the RNC.
Hypocrite.
The GOP doesn’t care about Hollywood, except when it’s touting Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Jon Voight, Clint Eastwood and anyone else they can find that is mildly/used to be famous.
When they’re scraping the bottom and can’t find anyone, or when a relevant entertainer endorses a Democrat, that’s when they “don’t care about Hollywood”
This is the state of American politics today. A Conservative tells a lie, a Liberal points it out, then the Conservative derides the Liberal as a pathetic hole-puncher, desperately attempting to discredit the GOP. Never mind that what’s really pathetic and desperate is the original lie. *sigh*
Well maybe Jake’s rep needs to say personally that he does not back Romney and maybe Jake’s rep will work with Twitter to shut that account down. That Fake Jake has done a lot of damage in Jake’s name.
Thanks LiLo for “helping” the Romney campaign.
There are fake accounts on both sides of the aisle. Not quite sure why this one makes it to the site.
No, but I can see Repubs thinking they can influence votes this way.
Show someone that is “hip” and “cool” switching sides to get younger voters out.
I wouldn’t put anything past the GOP.
“The GOP has no interest in Hollywood libs endorsing Romney because nobody really cares what actors think or believe – more than anyone else.” If they did care, they’d probably do something like have Clint Eastwood speak at the RNC.
Or run an actor for President.
Nothing can ever top John McCain saying “Thank you, Daddy Yankee.”
Sounds like someone with too much time on their hands just goofing on Jake Gyllenhaal than a “Republican conspiracy”.
So, Facebook… how many other fakers, scammers, etc. have you allowed to sign up with you? Hmmm.
Sorry. I meant Sold my Twitter shares. BTW… also DID sell FB shares.
Desperate Republicans will do anything. It’s not worth it, Obama will win no matter what. What a waste of time.
Too bad the fake account is back.
