Fox International Channels, News Corporation’s international pay television unit, has promoted Sharon Tal Yguado to EVP of Scripted Programming and Original Development. In this role, Tal Yguado, most recently SVP of Scripted Programming, adds oversight of FIC’s original development to her existing responsibilities as head of FIC’s global development group.  Tal Yguado is leading development on a number of new scripted TV projects including  Outcast (Circle of Confusion), Pulp (FtvS, Michael Davis and Don Murphy), Riviera (Jeff Vintar and Vince Geradis), Doctored (Caryn Mandabach) and Future Sociopaths (Daniel Arkin).  FIC is planning to take these projects out to US partners in the near future.

Based in Los Angeles and reporting to FIC’s President and CEO Hernan Lopez, Tal Yguado’s development group works to identify, develop and produce one-hour scripted dramas to be broadcasts across FIC’s network of over 250 wholly owned entertainment channels worldwide. She and her team identified AMC’s breakout The Walking Dead at a script level and picked up all international rights for it. FIC most recently partnered with the BBC and Starz on the upcoming Da Vinci’s Demons.
