Ryan Reynolds DarkFireRyan Reynolds and Allan Loeb’s company DarkFire has set two comedy projects at Fox: a live-action half-hour from writers Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay (Clash Of The Titans) and an animated show from writers Mark Torgove & Paul Kaplan (NBC’s Outsourced) and Ash Brannon (Surf’s Up). Both shows are produced by 20th Century Fox TV.

This marks an early start for DarkFire’s second development season. Reynolds and Loeb launched the company last May, blending their production banners with partners Jonathon Komack Martin and Steven Pearl, respectively. DarkFire has been based at 20th Century Fox TV with a two-year overall deal. In its first development cycle last year, DarkFire sold two high-profile projects for Fox: live-action comedy Guidance, which received a put pilot commitment with Tyler Labine attached to star, and animated comedy And Then There Was Gordon, which is still in the works with a presentation order. Written by Reynonds and Loeb, it has Reynolds attached to the voice cast.

The untitled Manfredi & Hay project centers on a disgraced hotel-industry hotshot who is exiled to a lower-rung airport hotel, where he is forced to manage an oddball staff in his quest to will the hotel (and his life) to 4-star greatness. Reynolds, Loeb, Manfredi, Hay Martin and Pearl executive produce.

The animated Lowe Rollers centers on a family that tries to maintain a semblance of civility while struggling to run a sinking Titanic-themed casino in the heart of Sin City. Torgove, Kaplan, Brannon, Reynolds, Martin, Pearl and Loeb exec produce.
