Glee returned from a long hiatus last night with a 2.7/8 in adults 18-49, down 7% from the fast national for musical dramedy’s most recent original on Feb. 21. Fox notes that 18-49 TV usage last night was down 9% from that on Feb. 21. In 18-34, Glee (2.8) was even with its last original. Glee‘s return to the schedule brought much-needed stability to Fox’s Tuesday lineup, which has been crumbling in the four-comedy midseason format. New Girl (2.7/7) was up 17% from last week when it followed a comedy repeat, while Raising Hope (1.9/5) was up 19% from last week when it aired at 8 PM.

There was clear separation between NBC on one hand and ABC and CBS on the other, with the former posting across-the-board ratings gains and the latter two logging all-declines. NBC had a very good night, with The Biggest Loser (2.2/7) up 10% from last week, The Voice results show (3.5/9) up 9% from its premiere last week, and Fashion Star (1.8/5) rebounding, up 20%.

After several pre-emptions for a Dancing With The Stars recap, a new Last Man Standing (1.7/5) was down 11% from the ABC comedy’s most recent original three weeks ago to a series low. Similarly, Cougar Town (1.5/4) was down 6%. The Dancing results show (2.3/6) was down 18% from last week to post its lowest-rated results edition ever. Body Of Proof (1.9/5, 10.2 million) was down a tenth from last week in its season finale, winning the 10 PM hour in 18-49 and 10.2 million to keep its modest renewal chances alive. CBS’ formidable Tuesday lineup was sluggish in its return from a week off. NCIS (3.1/9) was down 11% to a season low, NCIS: LA (2.3/6) down 23% to a series low and Unforgettable (1.8/5), down 14% to a series low.
