LONDON/MILAN/NYC, 28th March 2012: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), a division of Viacom Inc, (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB) today announces the promotion of Roberto Bagatti to Senior Vice President, Youth and Music Brands, VIMN, and Creative Director, MTV World Design Studio. Based in Milan at the MTV World Design Studio, Bagatti reports to Antonio Campo Dall’Orto, Executive Vice President, Music Brands, for VIMN.
In this new position Bagatti devises and directs creative branding projects across VIMN’s international youth and music channels and properties – primarily its network of MTV services – working to align creative output and ensuring consistency across the organisation’s multiple platforms. Charged with full oversight of MTV’s World Design Studio Milano, Bagatti also collaborates with and oversees MTV’s Regional Creative Directors in Buenos Aires, London, Milan, Singapore and Stockholm to ensure that the VIMN creative vision and consistency are achieved and maintained.
Bagatti is responsible for reinforcing VIMN’s position as a leading international creative powerhouse in the youth and music arena, continuing to bring fresh ideas and innovative design solutions to channel branding and properties such as MTV’s flagship international awards showMTV EMA. Additionally, Bagatti has extended his creative oversight to include the look and feel of VIMN’s newest international brand, Paramount Channel, a channel dedicated to movies which launches in Spain on 30th March, before rolling out internationally.

Bagatti is credited with the successful creation and implementation of MTV’s first ever truly international rebrand which rolled out in 2009 across 63 channels in 152 markets, a project that was awarded 6 gold awards for Best On-Air Identity and Design in World, UK and Latin American editions from PROMAX/BDA, the leading global association for design, promotion and marketing professionals working in broadcast media. In addition, the project won two awards in 2012 and 2011 from D&AD In Book, one of the most respected Design and Art Direction associations within the international creative community, representing design, advertising and creativity from around the world.
Between 2009 and 2011 Bagatti and his team have won more than 50 PROMAX/BDA European, Latin American and Worldwide awards for creative branding projects across VIMN properties and channels, including multiple PROMAX/BDA awards for the2010 MTV EMA (x7) and the 2009 MTV EMA (x12). Bagatti is regularly invited to speak at international conferences and events, including this year’s PROMAX/BDA Europe Conference in Barcelona where he presented a keynote on ‘Design Companies You Need To Know’. Bagatti is also a member of the PROMAX Editorial Board.
Prior this position, Bagatti served as Vice President Creative and Creative Director, MTV International. Bagatti joined MTV Italia in 1999 as a senior designer in the London-based on-air department. In 2005 he was appointed Creative Director for the Italian MTV channels which include MTV, QOOB and La7 (a Telecom Italia Media terrestrial channel). Bagatti holds a degree in fine arts from the ‘Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera’, Milano and a graduate degree in typography and graphic design from the ‘Istituto D’Arte Statale Paolo Toschi’ in Parma and currently resides in Milan.
