ABC’s reality veteran Extreme Makeover: Home Edition wrapped its nine-season run last night with little fanfare. The final 2 regular episodes of the series (it will continue its presence on ABC with specials) drew a 1.4/4 in 18-49 and 6 million total viewers at 8 PM and a 1.7/5, 10.5 million at 9 PM. That was in line with last week’s 1.4 and 1.6 demo ratings, though in total viewers the 9 PM series finale posted EM: Home Edition‘s most watched episode on Friday.

Friday was mostly a flat and down night with one major exception. ABC’s 20/20 (1.7/5, 5.9 million) shot up 31% in 18-49 from last week with an episode featuring stories on the online free sperm market and female college students working as escorts to pay their tuition as well as an interview with Madonna. It helped ABC (1.6/5, 6 million) tie CBS (1.6/5, 10.3 million) for No.1 among adults 18-49. CBS won outright in total viewers.

After an encouraging ratings uptick last week, CBS’ A Gifted Man (1.3/4, 8.8 million) slipped again, down 13% in 18-49. CSI: NY (1.7/5, 10.5 million) dropped a tenth, while Blue Bloods (1.8/5, 11.9 million) was flat and once again the top program of the night.

NBC’s Grimm (1.4/4, 4.6 million) returned down a tenth from its most recent original on Dec. 16 to hit a series low. Its lead-in, Chuck (0.9/3, 3.2 million) is not getting any momentum from nearing the series finale, flat with last week. Fox’s Fringe (1.1/3) also was even with its most recent original almost 2 months ago, on Nov. 18, which happened to be a series low. That despite a solid lead-in from Kitchen Nightmares (1.7/5). Both of CW’s dramas were down from last week, Supernatural (0.6/2, down 25%) and Nikita (0.5/2, down 16%).
